Youth joining terror groups
Sir,
This has a reference to the news ‘Army concerned over Kashmiri youth joining terror groups’ DE July 2015.
The GOC-in-C Northern Command Lt General D S Hooda seems to be more humanist, than a military General.  For example, “Frankly speaking it is  to bleed the young….””We are seeing incidents of these people killed in encounters with security within days not in months.”
The fact is that the educated youth of the Valley are in-doctrinated, to the point of no-return. In the Valley most of the educated youth have been trained from the very childhood for this purpose. The districts of Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam and Baramulla are vulnerable in this behalf.
The Central leaders in the past were also ill-advised about the mass recruitment of the youth in the Valley. But this encouraged a bad precedence. The people in the habit of finding faults need to be dealt with a strong hand.
