Several injured as mini-bus rolls down

AKHNOOR, July 22: Several persons were injured, one of them seriously, when the mini-bus they were travelling in rolled down in a 30-feet gorge near Khoura Morh, here today.
According to a police spokesperson, the minibus bearing registration number JK02AB-9597 was on its way from Dori Dager to Akhnoor early this morning when the driver lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a curve near Khoura Morh and the vehicle turned turtle and rolled down in a 30-feet gorge along the road.
He said in the mishap about 17-18 persons including students of schools and colleges were injured but none of them received serious injuries except one Jagdish Chander son of Thakur Dass, a resident of Dori Dager, who was first rushed to Government Hospital Akhnoor and later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
Others including Des Raj son of Amar Nath of Thandi Choi, Rajni Devi wife of Ganesh Dass of Ser and Anita Devi wife of Jeevan Lal of Thandi Choi, who got minor injuries were being provided treatment at Government Hospital Akhnoor.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Khour and investigations started.
