NCC to host national level integration camp

NAGPUR, Aug 18:
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Group Headquarters here is gearing up for a twelve-day long national level integration camp to be held here from August 20-31.
This is a unique congregation of NCC cadets from all over the country at one place. Approximately 700 cadets and Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) from all states will gather at Nagpur representing their respective state directorates.
The aim of this event is to foster spirit of national integration and solidarity by breaking cultural, religious, geographical, environmental and linguistic barriers, by way of community living.
It also focuses to create awareness among youth on diverse and rich cultural heritage of our vast country. The aim is also to gain valuable experience by living, interacting, co-operating and working in harmony with the cadets from other regions.Besides, it would be the endeavour to promote personal growth of participants with particular emphasis on building qualities of leadership, thus helping them become ideal citizens of this country.
During the course of these twelve days, various activities have been planned including organising motivational lectures, visits to various places of educational, cultural and national interests, showcasing different cultural events from all parts of the country.NCC, being the largest volunteer force in the world, is committed for the upliftment of various socio-cultural, economic and other issues of national concern. It boasts of a total strength of more than 20 lakh cadets.
The best of this talent will be showcased in the ensuing activities during the cultural event on the penultimate day of the twelve-day camp.“These events will help to unify and glorify the different colours and cultures of our great diverse nationality and give the cadets the correct platform to bond and come together. Also, it is a matter of great pride that Nagpur city and Nagpur group of the NCC Headquarter has been chosen for this prestigious camp, “said Lt Col R Charkraborty.(PTI)
