REASI, July 24: A Lineman of Power Development Department was electrocuted while repairing some fault on electric transformer at Chinkah, here today.
The deceased was identified as Sansar Chand (50), son of Mani Ram of Kakra Chinkah. He was repairing a transformer when power supply was mistakenly switched on thus resulting into severe electric shock to him.
He was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Meanwhile, a house caught fire and got severely damaged due to lightning at village Kondan in Darmari. The house, belonging to Shah Ali, son of Mohd Yusuf was severely damaged in the incident even as there was no loss of life or injury to the family members.
