12 bovines rescued

UDHAMUR, July 24: Kud police today rescued 12 bovine animals from being smuggled illegally.
According to the reports, based on reliable information a police party of Police Station Kud laid a surprise naka on National Highway at Narsu near Kud and intercepted one truck bearing registration No JK02AD-2111 which was on its way towards Srinagar.
During thorough search of the vehicle, 12 bovine animals were found loaded in the truck and rescued by the police. The police seized the truck while the smugglers and driver of the vehicle managed to escape.
