SKIMS terminates 5 orderlies for fake qualification certificates

SRINAGAR, July 25:

The SK Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) has terminated the appointment orders of five orderlies for fake qualification certificate.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the SKIMS Kulsoom Bhat, in a statement here this afternoon, said the Administrative Department of the institute cancelled appointment of five orderlies after Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (BOSE) confirmed that the qualification certificate submitted by the accused were fake.
She said the case has been submitted to crime branch for further necessary action. The fake documents included forged qualification (10th and 10+2) certificates, she added. She said SKIMS last year advertised 61 posts of orderlies with the provision that the number of vacancies shown were  tentative and could be increased or decreased  without further notice and later on further 10 vacancies were added to the existing 61. Therefore the total vacancies became 71. However, the appointment of a candidate was subject to verification of date of birth and academic qualification certificates from concerned board.
Subsequently, the appointees joined their duties and their certificates were forwarded to concerned board for verification in July this year. However, the joint secretary of BOSE  conveyed that the academic qualification certificates of five appointees are fake and fabricated.
She said SKIMS took a cognizance and immediately issued cancellation orders against the accused. Director SKIMS said the incident was shocking in nature and appreciated administrative unit of SKIMS for being vigilant and nabbing the culprits, she informed.  (UNI)
