Srinagar, July 26: As part of its outreach program in improving employment avenues for the youth, the army in North Kashmir’s Pattan area of Baramulla district held a Common Entrance Examination (CEE) for the candidates declared medically fit earlier for joining the Force.
A defence spokesman said that a total of 153 candidates appeared for the exam after the Review Board declared them medically fit following a recruitment rally held on April 26 this year.
“The event witnessed a lot of enthusiasm from the candidates as they thronged the centre in the eagerness to join the Indian army… Adequate arrangements were made for providing the candidates a suitable environment to write their exam. The written exam was conducted under strict supervision of the conducting staff ARO Srinagar to ensure impartiality was maintained. The duration of the exam was from 0900 hrs to 1000hrs,” the defence spokesman said.
