Curfew lifted from Rajouri town

JAMMU, July 26: Authorities today completely lifted curfew from Rajouri town but kept prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC in force during night hours to prevent any untoward incident. CRPF and police would also remain deployed in the sensitive areas.
Official sources said District Magistrate Deepti Uppal has ordered lifting of curfew relaxations completely from Rajouri town but announced that the prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC will remain in force till further orders to maintain peace.
Night curfew had been lifted yesterday also following rise in water level in some rivers to ensure that the people could move to safer places, if required.
No untoward incident has been reported from Rajouri town and other areas after lifting of curfew, sources said, adding that the situation has completely returned to normalcy.
