KARGIL, July 27: J&K Grameen Bank in collaboration with NABARD organized awareness programme (FLAP) regarding PMJDY and other recently launched Pradhan Mantri’s Social Security Schemes, today.
Chief Executive Counselor LAHDC Kargil, Haji Mohd Haneefa, who was the chief guest on the occasion, informed the participants at length regarding the benefits of newly launched security schemes.
BDO Kargil who attended the program spoke about newly introduced scheme NRLM (for women SHG) and laid emphasis on NRLM.
Speaking on the occasion, V K Sharma Senior Manager, MF&FI Department, J&K Grameen Bank informed the participants regarding the benefits of newly launched schemes named (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana and other bank schemes.
Sharma further informed the gathering that these schemes have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit through Grameen Bank Branch.
The said program was also attended by LDM, Kargil and representatives of other Departments who, spoke at length about the schemes.
The branch opened 100 women SHG A/Cs under NRLM and enrolled 138 customers for PM’s security schemes.
