JAMMU, July 27: Development Commissioner Power (DCP) today called a meeting of all the officers of Power Development Department of Jammu province in which Chief Engineer, Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers took part.
Shakti Gupta, Chairman, Provincial Power Employees Union was also called to attend the meeting for detail deliberation on the demands already discussed with Deputy Chief Minister recently.
While speaking, DCP directed all the Circle Officers (Superintending Engineers) to convene DPC at district level within 7 days for all categories so that the regularization process of daily wagers could be taken up on fast track.
In the meeting PPEU also raised various demands including promotion quota of the technically qualified field staff (ITI Trained and Non-ITI staff) which was recommended by Chairman, Divisional Level DPC as ratio 50:50 and the DCP gave consent to issue order related to demand projected by PPEU and implementation of SRO-59.
Regarding release of pending wages of daily rated workers demand raised by PPEU, DCP requested the Chief Engineer, Jammu to provide the list of pending wages of daily rated workers, so that same could be released immediately upto date.
