JAMMU, July 27: People from Kottan village and adjoining areas of Dhar Galoon in Mendhar held protest against CAPD authorities for not providing free ration to the flood affected people as sanctioned by previous government.
The villagers came out on the road and started protest on main road. They were shouting slogans against the CAPD authorities for not providing them six months free ration as sanctioned by the Government. They alleged that only a few favourite families were provided the ration while all other really affected have been ignored.
Later, they moved to the Tehsildar Mendhar and submitted a memorandum. Incharge tehsildar Shahzad Khan assured the agitating villagers to inquire into the matter and taken up it with the senior CAPD officials in the district.
