POONCH, July 28: The police arrested a wanted criminal who was evading arrest for the last eight years in Poonch district.
Reports said that one Mohd Aziz, son of Mohd Bashir, resident of Gursai in Mendhar; who was wanted by Poonch police under case FIR No. 01/2007, under sections 279, 337 and 338 RPC; was nabbed by a policy party led by SI Mohd Yaqoob, incharge SHO Poonch last night.
The city police also recovered a stolen motor-cycle No. JK-12/2517 within 24 hours of its theft. It belonged to one Mushtaq Ahmed from Azmabad in Poonch. Danish, son of Ghulam Din from Seri Khawaja was arrested in this connection.
