Plus 2 Lecturers Forum highlight demands, urge CM to intervene

JAMMU, Aug 18: All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president NS Jamwal and reviewed the overall scenario of the Education Department.
While speaking, NS Jamwal expressed worry due to the shortage of staff in Higher Secondary Schools especially in the far flung areas.
He appealed the authorities to fill up the vacant posts of lecturers through DPC/ PSC as early as possible and academic arrangements should be made on contractual basis.
Jamwal demanded re-organisation of the School Education Department and up-gradation of the HSS to the level of intermediate colleges.
He also demanded orders of 40 per cent college quota, benefits of time bound promotions (TBP), incentives for highly qualified Plus 2 Lecturers, grade pay of Principals and non-vocational status in favour of Principals of HSS.
Jamwal urged the Chief Minister to intervene in the matter regarding delay in regularization of incharge incumbents and issuance of its formal orders.
Jamwal appreciated bringing in of transparency in transfer policy and developing a strong mechanism to improve the pass percentage in Government schools.
