BHADERWAH, July 29: Naresh Kumar Gupta, MLC along with senior officers of various departments today visited Bhalla block of Bhaderwah where cloud burst created havoc and damaged property including link roads, crops, Government infrastructure of various departments worth crores of rupees last night and took stock of the situation.
He interacted with the affected people and assured that he will raise the issue of ex-gratia relief for them at the earliest. Meanwhile, the people of the areas also raised some issues of public importance before the MLC and requested for paying immediate attention.
He assured to address the same on priority and directed concerned departments to prepare an estimate of the damages and restore the place as soon as possible.
MLC also visited various affected areas along with Executive Engineer Irrigation Flood and Control and others and took stock of problems being faced by the public in Beeru, Sora, Malnai, Kandasoo, Chakarabathi, Chondri and Druga which is much affected due to cloud burst and incessant rain.
