SRINAGAR, July 29: The Customer Care Representatives (CCRs) working through Access Infrastructure and Telecommunication Private Limited with leading telecommunication company, Airtel, today said that they are without salaries for past few months despite repeated pleas.
A delegation of employees, who work at Sonwar office of the AITP for Airtel, told Excelsior that their salaries of months of May, June and July have not been paid by the company. “They are indulging in dilly-dallying tactics. In absence of salaries, not only we but our families are also suffering,” the employees said, adding: “even as Airtel released the payment but AITP is not paying us.”
There are about 30 employees who are without salaries. They alleged that the AITP “terminated them verbally”.”We were not allowed to enter the office today,” the employees alleged.
Rejecting the allegations, the General Manager (Operations) Zahoor Ahmad Shah, told Excelsior that the due to billing, there was delay in paying the salary to the employees. “We didn’t stop anyone’s salary. The track record of our company from last 12 years is crystal clear and we have provided every opportunity to younger generation in shaping their career.”
He denied allegations of termination and said that there is no truth in it. “We don’t terminate employees verbally. There is a due procedure for that,” he added.
