Ex-Addl PRO alleges threat from Tara, cops

JAMMU, July 30: In the much publicized writ petition filed by Prof S K Bhalla seeking initiation of disciplinary proceedings and withdrawal of security cover from Kewal Krishan Sharma, the then Additional PRO to the then Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, Kewal Sharma, who appeared in person, Justice Tashi Rabstan, today directed the Registry to list the instant petition in the week commencing from August 3.
When the petition came up for hearing Prof S K Bhalla appearing in person drew the attention of the court to the fresh application moved by him to place on record a copy of the communication whereby the then Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Shantmanu had written to the Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department for stringent action against the Forest Guard turned PRO for acting in violation of CCA Rules.
After hearing the petitioner Prof S K Bhalla in person and private respondent Kewal Sharma, who was also appearing in person, High Court allowed the fresh application and took on record the communication dated October, 1, 2014 and directed the Registry to list the instant petition as per previous order in the week commencing August 3.
Kewal, who was appearing in person created sensation in the open court when he leveled serious allegations against the then Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and two senior cops and alleged threat to his life.
After hearing K K Sharma in person, Justice Tashi Rabstan directed him to file his allegations in black and white before next date of hearing as today’s utterances are contrary to the reply filed by him.
Before the close of the proceedings K K Sharma again requested the court for security cover which was not extended.
