JAMMU, July 30: Rotary Club, Akhnoor organized installation ceremony of new president, Dr Ramesh Kashyap and his team for the year 2015-16, today.
The function among others was attended by prominent citizens, officers of Akhnoor, distinguished guest, president and Rotarians of Rotary Club, Jammu, Samba, Bari Brahmana besides members of Rotary Club, Akhnoor along with their families.
The function was presided over by ex-Minister Sham Lal Sharma who was chief guest of the function. The Rtn Rameshwar Singh Pawar conducted the proceedings of function.
While welcoming the chief guest and audience, the outgoing president Rtn Ankush Gupta gave a brief description of activities done during the previous year. He also thanked the members and gave away awards for their cooperation during the year.
Chief guest, Sham Lal Sharma, installed new president Rtn Dr Romesh Kashyap and his team for the year 2015-16.
In his acceptance speech the president thanked chief guest for installation and sought the cooperation from members of Rotary Club, Akhnoor for the welfare of society.
Later Rtn Ashish Mahajan-executive secretary introduced the Rotary team for the year 2015-16 to the audience to work on RI theme of 2015-16 as a gift to the world.
In the end vice president Rtn Ranjit Gupta proposed the vote of thanks.
