Army organizes medical camp

Srinagar, July 31: In continuation with its efforts to provide quality health care to the people of remote areas, Army today organized a medical Camp at Tharbal and Baraub villages of Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A defence spokesman said the camp was aimed at providing medical facilities to the local populace of remote areas at their door steps who otherwise have to travel long distances to avail medical facilities at the designated hospitals.
“Locals of all age groups turned up in large numbers to utilize the medical services. A joint team of Army and Civil doctors provided medical treatment to a total of 974 patients at both the places. Medicines were distributed to the villagers free of cost. Refreshments were also organized for the population who had come from far flung areas,” the spokesman added.
