Army recruitment process goes online

BHOPAl, Aug 1:
Army recruitment through open rallies has been abolished now. online registration has been made mandatory for candidates applying to join army.
Registration can be made on army?s website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Apart from personal e-devices candidates can get registered online through facilitation centres set up by Central and state governments. Following this, registered candidates will be called with necessary documents for medical examination. This process has been implemented from July 1, this year, an official release said.
Recruitment rally will be held by Indian Army for online registered eligible candidates in October-November this year at Betul, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Harda, Ujjain, Ratlam, Jhabua, Indore, Khargone, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Rewa, Jabalpur, Balaghat, Katni, Sidhi, Umaria, Singrauli, Morena, Tikamgarh, Ashok Nagar, Sagar and Damoh. Online registration will start 45 days before rally and close 15 days before.
Defence Ministry has given sanction to first phase of recruitment process. Under it, documents will be verified and health examination conducted after online registration of candidates. Later, the medically fit candidates will be called for common entrance test, the sources added. (UNI)
