Army Medical, Veterinary camp organized

UDHAMPUR, Aug 1: A medical camp was organized at Panikher by Top Gun Brigade under the aegis of ‘Forever in Operations’ Division, for the Bakarwals as well as locals of the Suru Valley (medical and veterinary hospitals is 70 kms from Kargil).
A total of 180 civilians including Bakarwals were provided treatment during the camp. A large number of Bakarwals come to Chalong, Shanshi and Shafat Nalas in this season from Southern parts of J&K.
A team of doctors from medical branch of “Forever in Operations” Division screened and checked the civilians and their animals. The function was presided by  Aga Syed Abbas Rizvi, Executive Councillor, in charge of Rural Development, Handloom and Handicraft.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest highlighted the Army’s endeavors to foster closer bonds between the Indian Army and the public and appreciated the efforts taken by the Army to conduct such events which help in the development of the remote areas of the Suru Valley.
