JAMMU, Aug 3: Reiterating that ongoing agitation on AIIMS was being guided and directed by political parties like Congress and National Conference, BJP State president and MP Jugal Kishore today said that the latest developments have exposed the Coordination Committee before public now.
Addressing a press conference along with State chief spokesperson Sunil Sethi at party headquarters on Monday, the BJP chief said that today’s incident of the ACC gathering being addressed by NC patron Dr Farooq Abdullah, has now totally exposed the ACC, which had been repeatedly assuring the people that no political leader would be allowed to come and use its platform.
“BJP had smelt it in advance and cautioned the people that some political parties are, in fact, behind the agitation whereas ACC always termed it as false propaganda but the cat has now come out of box,” he said.
Jugal said that after the Union Health Ministry announced AIIMS, there was no logic or justification in continuing the agitation. “But unfortunately the political masters behind it are guiding ACC, which has become puppet in the hands of these parties,” he alleged and appealed the people to themselves judge motive of the agitation.
“Transporters, shopkeepers, businessman etc should restart their day to day working for the convenience of the general public and thousands of Yatris who are reaching Jammu everyday,” he said and also appealed the ACC to reconsider its decision of extending the agitation.
Sunil Sethi said that if ACC is honest in its claims that it is entirely non political platform, it should not fall prey in the hands of NC and Congress. He also appealed the various organizations associated with ACC to not become its part as it has deviated from its noble cause.
