SRINAGAR : Expressing concern over the militant attack on Border Security Force (BSF) in Udhampur area on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said the area was militancy free so far.
In a tweet, the working president of the main opposition National Conference (NC) said, “An attack on this stretch of the NH after a very long time. Worrying development because area was militant free.” Three BSF personnel were injured when militants attacked their vehicles in Udhampur area in Jammu region on the national highway. Two of the injured died in the hospital.
Attack on BSF convoy came about a week after recent fidayeen attack on a police station in Punjab, bordering Jammu. (AGENCIES)
