NEW DELHI : One of the militants involved in attack on a BSF convoy near Udhampur has been caught alive while the security forces killed his accomplice in the gun battle that ensued after the terror strike.
“One terrorist has been killed by our forces and the search is on for others,” Mr Singh tweeted.
“One of the militants was caught alive,” BSF Chief DK Pathak told UNI, before leaving for Udhampur.
He refused to speculate about the number of militants involved in the attack.
Sources in the Defence Ministry said members of the village defence committee played an important role in the nabbing of the militant.
The Home minister also spoke to Director General of BSF. “Spoke to Director General of BSF DK Pathak regarding the attack. BSF and CRPF have launched an operation against the attackers,” Mr Singh said in a series of tweets. (AGENCIES)
