NHM employees observe pen down strike

DODA, Aug 5: Demanding immediate extension of terminated NHM Employees, the National Health Mission (NHM) Employees observed complete pen down strike and held protest Demonstration outside CMO Office and Deputy Commissioner Office today.
On the call of NHM Paramedical and Management Association, all the NHM Employees including doctors, paramedics and management staff observed complete pen down strike and later held protest demanding immediate extension of terminated employees of Block Gandoh whose extension have been stopped by Mission Director NHM Jammu after unfavourable remarks was made by CMO Doda despite the concerned BMO Gandoh made favourable remarks and termed their services and work conduct as satisfactory.
Meanwhile JK Medical Employees Federation and Low Paid Employees Federation have extended their full support with NHM Employees and seek early intervention of State Health Minister, Commissioner Secretary Health and MD NHM JK so that the future of these employees could be saved from getting worse.
Later on the NHM Association led by its District President Faizan Ali Tramboo met with DDC Doda Bhupinder Kumar and apprised him about this problem. After giving patient hearing DDC Doda assured the agitating NHM employees that he will start an inquiry in this matter and will try to do justice with the terminated employees after thorough probe.
Among others present were Dr Hamid Parray, Dr Nasir Masood, Mashood Latief, Rafiq Ahmed, Firdous Amin, Suman Devi, Anju Devi, Rubina Begum and all NHM employees of Doda District.
