SRINAGAR, Aug 5: In its ongoing effort to spread the message of goodwill amongst the local populace, the Army based at Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district had organised an educational and motivational tour for the school children which was flagged off on July 25
A total of 25 children were part of this tour in which they visited Srinagar, Jaipur and Ajmer. The tour has culminated.
A defence spokesman said that the aim of the tour was to spread awareness of employment avenues, skill development opportunities and also to inculcate in the children the spirit of adventure, inquisitiveness and passion for learning. “The tour also underlined the unity in India’s diverse cultures and tradition which strengthen the country’s sender credentials,” the spokesman said.
The Children shared their experiences of the tour and were very positive about the outcome of the tour, he said.
