JAMMU, Aug 6: Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) expressed concern over militants attack in Samroli area of tehsil Chenani in district Udhampur yesterday and continuous ceasefire violations.
Addressing a press conference, State VHP patron Dr Ramakant Dubey said that militants attack on BSF convoy at Samroli is a matter of great concern.
Dr Dubey added that mystery appears that a truck originating from a distant district like Kulgam carrying these armored militants reached Chenani without being caught anywhere enroute with dozens of police nakas, he stated.
He stated that border skirmish, firing on Indian posts and civil population has become a daily feature of the enemy.
“How long people will bear this. Is sitting and waiting for next attack to reply appropriately is the only retaliatory action from our side?”, he questioned.
Dr Dubey also pin-pointed that J&K is the only State in the country where Chief Minister is the Chairman of “Joint Command” with four Senior Lieutenant Generals as his advisors and still the situations are deteriorating day by day. What is the fun of this joint command as the situations has gone worst from the day the present dispensation has taken over, he added.
He stated that on every Friday waving of anti-national flags and shouting anti-national slogans have become a permanent feature with regular militant attacks may it be Pattan, Anantnag, Dinanagar or Yatra base camp.
Dr Dubey took the forces also to task and advised them to follow the policy of “offence not defence” only then the enemy’s teeth could be blunted.
He also informed that yesterday a delegation of Senior VHP office bearers headed by Surinder Aggarwal paid a visit to some of the border villages like Mirpur Kona in Pargwal. The locals apprised the delegation that no one from the Government side visited their villages during this period and not spoke about any assistance for them.
Among others present were Sudershan Khajuria, Ashok Gupta, Sukh Ram Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, RK Banathia, Raghuvir Singh, Balkrishan Gupta, etc.
