JAMMU, Aug 19: A large number of SC/ST/OBCs organization workers held a meeting under the chairmanship of R K Kalsotra, State president, wherein they discussed their demands, at R S Pura today.
While addressing, the president said that no reservation is being given in ReT, ReZ, contractual, need based workers and SPOs by the Government and even in promotion reservation is denied. He added that Mandal Commission report is not fully implemented and cautioned the gathering to unite themselves and struggle to get it fully implemented.
He said that conferences would be held in every district to pressurize the Government for total implementation of its demands. On 2nd September 2012 a district conference will be held at Jammu and all participants assured to struggle for the unity of the SC/ST OBCs.
New units of teshil R S Pura was formed with Bushan Dogra as chairman, D D Saivgotra as president, Jagjit Singh, Yog Raj, and Sudesh Gorka as vice presidents, O P Bhagat as general secretary, Gopal Dass Bhagat as cashier and Ramesh Attri, Puran Chand, Des Raj, Hans Raj, Amar Nath, Madan Lal, Dalip Kumar and others as members.
