JAMMU, Aug 7: To express gratitude to the Union Government for sanctioning AIIMS for Jammu and to congratulate the people of Jammu province for getting this prestigious institute, BJP took out ‘Dhanyavaad rally’ here today.
The rally started from Ambphalla Chowk and after passing through Kachi Chawni, Parade, Purani Mandi, City Chowk, Rajinder Bazar, Kanak Mandi, Shaheedi Chowk, Residency Road, Vinayak Bazar, Vivekanand Chowk, Dogra Chowk, Bikram Chowk, Main Stop, it finally culminated at Dussehra Ground, Gandhi Nagar.
The rally was jointly led by Health & Medical Education Minister Ch. Lal Singh, Forest Minister Bali Bhagat, MLAs-Sat Sharma, Rajesh Gupta and Dr. Gagan Bhagat, State general Secretary Munish Sharma, senior leader Yudhvir Sethi and other senior leaders.
Ch. Lal Singh, while addressing the rally at Dussehra Ground, said that BJP has come out to be a strong force in J&K and this fact cannot be digested by the parties like NC, Congress and JKNPP, which have been making repeated attempts to malign the image of the Party by misleading the people of Jammu on one pretext or the other. He said that the people are wise enough to understand the nefarious designs of these parties and hence did not fall prey to the misinformation campaign launched on the issue of AIIMS for Jammu. “Every tactic and false propaganda by these parties fell flat and today leaders of these parties are finding it difficult to face the public for their misconduct during the ACC agitation”, he said.
Minister of Forests and Social Welfare Bali Bhagat said that whenever there has been any problem in Jammu, the BJP always came forward to stand by the people. Be it militancy, political instability or onslaught by anti-national elements, our leaders sacrificed their lives to defeat such forces and take out the State from such situations. First it was Jana Sangh then Praja Parishad and present day BJP, which agitated against discrimination and neglect of Jammu during the successive Governments of NC and Congress. Today these parties are trying to mislead the people on the issue of AIIMS as their leaders are feeling frustrated after losing chairs as ministers and are indulging in false, fabricated and totally unethical campaign against BJP.
BJP senior leaders, Office bearers, MLAs, activists of Mahila Morcha, Yuva Morcha, Kissan Morcha and SC Morcha and activists of various cells, districts, mandals and wards participated in this rally.
