RAMNAGAR, Aug 7: A 19-year-old youth hanged himself to death at a village in tehsil Ramnagar of district Udhampur today.
The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Rattan Lal, resident of Nambla village in Ramnagar. The incident took place when the boy was all alone at home. Her mother had gone to Ramnagar town for shopping while father was also at work in the town. The boy belonged to poor class. His father had installed a ‘Rehari’ at Bus Stand Ramnagar to feed his family.
A police spokesman said that Rakesh proved failure in class 12th class and was also upset there after. He was facing humiliation from the family and relatives and was quite disturbed for the last several weeks. He used a rope for hanging from the ceiling fan hook of a room in his house when he was all alone during noon. Her mother noticed him hanging from ceiling hook when she arrived home in the afternoon. She raised alarm and neighbours rushed there. Then they informed police. The police shifted the body for postmortem to Ramnagar hospital and registered a case for investigation under Section 174 CrPC.
