JAMMU, Aug 7: A youth today allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence here at Christian Colony near Prem Nagar.
According to a police spokesperson, a youth identified as Junaid (23) son of Mohd Jaffar, a resident of Christian Colony, Prem Nagar, consumed some poisonous at his residence.
In unconscious condition, the family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
After conducting postmortem, the body was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites. The concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
