Army organizes medical camp

SRINAGAR, Aug 8: A medical camp was organized in Badogam village of Gurez sector in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district by Army.
A Defence spokesman said that a team of doctors from the Army Medical Corps, Dental Corps and specialists from Civil Sub-District Hospital, Dawar attended the needy and the impoverished locals with quality medical care and advice.  “The locals were also taught the basics of providing first aid in emergency and preventive measures to be adopted for common diseases in the area.  A number of children were gifted with stationery besides free medicines to the patients,” the spokesman said.
He added that the medical camp brought the much needed medical care to the doorsteps of the local populace who expressed their gratitude for the humanitarian gesture by the army.
