JAMMU, Aug 9: A general meeting of Chinar Power Projects Workers Union District Kishtwar was held today under the chairmanship of Joginder Bhandari, which demanded immediate starting of Pakal Dul hydroelectric project.
The participants urged upon the Centre and State Governments to immediately start the Pakal Dul HE Project so that the unemployed youths of the district Kishtwar could be able to get employment opportunity.
Joginder Bhandari informed that the Pakal Dul HE project is under Joint venture of NHPC, JKSPDC and PTC but it is a matter of great concern that there is no coordination between the NHPC and JKSPDC as a result the said project is being delayed.
