Missing man traced in Kalakote

JAMMU, Aug 11: A massive cordon and search operation was today launched by the police and security forces after a man went missing in Kalakote area of Rajouri district.
“Search operation was launched by the police in Kalakote belt after a man went missing there. However, he was traced in the evening by the police,” official sources said.
Sanjay Singh, a resident of Saroh village in Kalakote tehsil, went missing this morning.
His family members claimed that they got a called from Sanjay who said he was abducted by three suspected militants in Army uniform and since then his mobile was switched off.
“Uncle (Sanjay) called on my number and told me that he was abducted by three suspected militants from his village early in the morning,” Sanjay’s niece Nishu said.
After the family informed the police about the incident, a search operation was launched in the area. Police also visited Sanjay’s house and recorded statements of the family members in this regard, sources said, adding Sanjay Singh was traced in the evening.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Sanjay Singh hadn’t been kidnapped by the militants but had left the house under depression. However, police was investigating all the angles.
Panic had gripped the area following the incident but people heaved sigh of relief after the return of Sanjay Singh.
