SRINAGAR, Aug 11: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today said that new Industrial Policy will be unveiled soon which will give flip to the industrial sector in the State.
The Minister said this while chairing a joint meeting of officers and JK-based industrialists convened to discuss new Industrial Policy at Civil Secretariat here today.
Financial Commissioner, Industries and Commerce, Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, Special Secretary, Industries and Commerce and senior officers of Industries and Commerce besides representatives of various industry associations were present at the meeting.
The Minister said Government has industrialist friendly approach and all possible efforts and measures will be taken for rejuvenation and growth of industrial units. He said new Industrial Policy is aimed to boost and review industry in the state and to encourage new investment in industries and facilitate new entrepreneurs, besides generation of employment avenues.
Mr. Parkash said Chief Minister is very much keen for flourishing progressive industrial setup in J&K and all possible measures will be taken in this regard.
On the occasion, representatives from various industrialists association put forth their suggestions for the successful implementation of the policy.
The meeting was informed that in new policy some targets have been set to achieve the goal of the policy in befitting manner. It was also revealed that policy has incorporated provisions for setting up prestigious and large industrial units across the State.
