JAMMU, Aug 11: Khour police apprehended four persons along with Rs 5,370 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Khour police station conducted a raid in an open field and apprehended four gamblers along with Rs 5,370 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Mangat Ram, son of Asha Ram, resident of Sainth Khour, Sanjay Singh, son of Sohan Singh of Khour, Ranjit Singh, son of Bhagwan Singh and Sanjiv Singh, son of Khazan Singh, both residents of Derian Khour.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against the accused at police station Khour and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Khour police station SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh and SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
