UDHAMPUR, Aug 11: Panthers Party activists, led by their president Balwant Singh Mankotia, held a protest demonstration here today against frequent power cuts in Udhampur district.
Shouting slogans against the PDD and demanding regular power supply, the protesting JKNPP activists assembled at Slathia Chowk this morning and then marched towards the office of X-En PDD passing through different Bazar They also blocked the road in front of X-En office and torched an effigy of the State Government.
Latter the protester met with X-En PDD and warned that if the frequent power cuts are not checked, the Panthers Party would be forced to lock PDD Office Udhampur.
Mr Mankotia was accompanied by Amar Nath Mehra, Jagdev Singh Jagga, Sanjeet Sharma, Girdhari Lal Sarpanch, Hoshiar Singh, Joginder Sharma Sarpanch, Kamlu Ram, Babloo Singh, Rajinder Balli, Shamsher Singh, Master Ram Saroop and others.
