JAMMU, Aug 12: The Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh today convened a meeting of revenue officers of the district in connection with the identification of land measuring 200 acre for establishment of AIIMS in Jammu.
The Deputy Commissioner briefed the revenue authorities about the guidelines issued by Union Health Ministry regarding the site selection. The officers were told to provide exact geographical coordinates of the location; classification of land; details of road connectivity from National Highway, Railway Head and Airport.
The DC asked the officials to clearly specify the features of land viz whether the land proposed is flood prone, encroached, presence of water bodies and forest cover, etc.
The revenue officers were told to identify the land by or before 30th August 2015 so that the proposal can be submitted to Union Government, through State Health Department for inviting the central team for inspection of the site.
The meeting was attended by SDM North, SDM South, Tehsildar Nagrota, Tehsildar Jammu and Tehsildar Bahu.
