SAMBA, Aug 12: Samba Police headed by Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO P/S Samba under the supervision of Varinder Singh, Dy. SP HQ, Samba, arrested fraudsters namely Hassaam Din S/o Ghulam Mohd R/o Sudh Mahadev, Chenani, Udhampur and Showkat Ali S/o Said Mohd R/O Gujru, Nagrota, Jammu.
Police said Parveen Singh S/o Fateh Singh R/o Palth, Samba who was already known to the victim namely Rashpal Singh S/o Palwinderjeet Singh R/o Batala, Punjab, offered him (Rashpal Singh)that he will manage gold for him on cheaper rates. Acting according to their plan, the fraudsters have shown original gold petal as sample to the Rashpal Singh and called him to Kapai, Nud, Samba for maturing the deal.
Rashpal Singh has bought 107 gold petals from the fraudsters on an amount of Rs. 2.4 lakh. But he later found them as duplicate and reported the matter to Police Station Samba. Police immediately swung into action and arrested accused persons along with an amount of Rs. one lac. However, co-accused Parveen Singh S/o Fateh Singh R/o Palth, Samba is still absconding with an amount of Rs. 1.4 lakh.
A cases FIR No. 147/2015 U/S 420/34 RPC has been registered at P/S Samba and investigation has been started. Police has launched a manhunt to nab the other accused.
