REASI, Aug 12: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued seven animals besides arresting the accused person.
Acting on a specific information that some persons were on way towards Kashmir along with bovine animals and had reached near Choudhary Narh Dewal, a Police team from PP Dewal rushed to the spot and apprehended one bovine smuggler namely Abdul Hamid of Neoch, Mahore.
Seven bovine animals were rescued from his possession. In this connection case FIR under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Mahore.
