KATHUA, Aug 12: The Congress activists and members of Beopar Mandal Kathua today protested against the choking of drainage system in the town and accused the Government of not paying any attention to improve the drainage system.
The protest was led by senior Congress leader Naresh Sharma. The protestors raising slogans said that the people as well as shopkeepers were facing hardships due to chocked drainage system in the town that results in water logging.
Mr Sharma said that in case the Government fails to take immediate steps and improve the drainage system in town his Party will launch agitation. He said the constant water logging can lead to spread of epidemic in the town and the failure of Government to improve the drainage system shows its negligence.
