Army organizes medical-cum-veterinary camp

SRINAGAR, Aug 12: Continuing its efforts to win the hearts and minds of locals, 27 Rastriya Rifles (Maratha Li) under the aegis of 5 Sector organised a medical-cum-veterinary camp under Operation Sadhbhavna at North Kashmir’s Bandipora district in Malangam.
The main motive of this camp is to reach out to the people of remote areas, cater to their medical problems and spread health & hygiene awareness among the local population.
A joint team of doctors from Army and Civil Administration including lady doctor, nursing assistant and paramedics participated in providing medical assistance to 468 people including men, women and children.
Besides this 1363 livestock were also treated at the camp. A team of two veterinary doctors and three assistant were present to treat the livestock. Free of cost medicines were distributed to all the needy patients.
The active participation of the locals and their enthusiasm during the event gave a glimpse of reinforcing ties between Army and people.
