22 bovine animals rescued

REASI, Aug 13: Foiling two separate attempts of bovine smuggling, Reasi Police rescued 22 animals and arrested two smugglers from Mahore area.
Acting on a specific information that some persons were on way towards Kashmir via Dewal Marg along with bovine animals without any legal permission, a Police team from PP Dewal under the supervision of SHO Mahore, Inspector Romal Singh, laid a naka near Hajamabas Dewal Marg. Police rescued 14 bovine animals from the possession of accused person namely Nazir Ahmed of Neoch, Tehsil Mahore. The accused person has been arrested and a case FIR No. 87/2015 U/S 188 RPC was registered in this connection at Police Station Mahore.
Similarly, eight more bovine animals were rescued by another Police party from PP Dewal from the possession of accused person Abdul Gani of Neoch when he was smuggling these animals to Kashmir and had reached near Choudhary Narh area of Mahore.  Police also arrested the accused smuggler and registered another case FIR No.86/2015 U/S 188/RPC at Police Station Mahore.
