JAMMU, Aug 13: Lambasting the BJP’s jiggery pokery followed by its policy of repression against the people of Jammu region restraining them from raising their voice against the wrong doings committed by the saffron party, Gagan Partap Singh, general secretary Young Panthers (YP) admonished it for playing foul with the region time and again with all kinds of gimmicks, tricks and betrayals to keep the Kashmir based leaders in good humour for petty political gains, in a press conference here today.
He said that the BJP’s series of betrayals over the AIIMS issue followed by the policy of suppression to quell the ongoing movement for the restoration of premier health institute to Jammu by resorting to cane charge and tear gassing on the peaceful protestors has only exposed its perfidious and treacherous character.
He further pointed out that the saffron brigade has shelved all the Jammu related issues pertaining to Delimitation of the Assembly constituencies, granting State Subject rights to West Pak refugees, rehabilitation of farmers and border residents, regularization of contractual employees including the daily wagers, need based workers, SPOs, NYC volunteers and temporary teachers, Revocation of the draconian Recruitment policy, Artificial lake for Jammu, etc only to occupy their ministerial berths.
