Jammu, Aug 13: Former Cabinet Minister and Member Legislative Council, Ajatshatru Singh today gave away scholarships of rupees fifteen thousand each to two college students for continuing their education. Ajatshatru Singh gave away these scholarships under the aegis of Rajput Charitable Trust as its President.
The brother sister duo namely Rohit Bloria and Shweta Bloria had approached the president Rajput Charitable Trust for financial assistance to complete their studies as they had none to look after their well being. They have already lost their parents with untimely demise of their father in 1999 and subsequently unfortunate death of their mother in 2007. Both the kids were brought up by their maternal grandparents and were supported by BSF authorities till 2010 as their father was serving the Border Security Force when he died. After the demise of their mother the children were not given any family pension.
On getting information about the predicament of the children Ajatshatru Singh instructed the Rajput Charitable Trust authorities to extend all sorts of help to the children to complete their studies and also offered them monetary assistance in the form of scholarship. He assured the children of all possible help in carving out a great future for them.
