UDHAMPUR, Aug 13: In a road mishap, a mother died while her son sustained critical injuries when a car hit their scooter on the National Highway near Kheri, here today.
The deceased was identified as Salima Bagam (60) wife of Abdul Majeed of Kawa in Udhampur district. Her son Ajaz Ahmad (35), who has sustained serious injuries, was admitted in District Hospital Udhampur.
According to the police reports, the victims were riding a scooter bearing registration number KL7AH-7919, which was hit by a car PB06R-7030; around 6:20 am near Kheri. Police immediately shifted the victims to hospital where Salima Begum was declared as brought dead.
Police has registered a case in this connection.
