NEW DELHI, Aug 18: Mentha oil prices were up Rs 4.20 to Rs 945.50 per kg in futures trade today as traders engaged in creating fresh positions driven by strong demand at spot markets from consuming industries.
Besides, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh influenced prices.
Mentha oil for delivery in September rose Rs 4.20, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 945.50 per kg, with a trading volume of 923 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.
The prices for delivery in August also traded higher Rs 4, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 934.10 per kg, with a business turnover of 336 lots.
Marketmen said besides restricted arrivals, a firming trend at the spot markets on industrial and export demand, mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
