DCW issues summon to BJP MLA OP Sharma on Lamba’s complaint

NEW DELHI, Aug 18:
The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) today issued summons to BJP legislator OP Sharma in connection with Aam Aadmi Party MLA Alka Lamba’s complaint against him over alleged use of foul language.
“The commission has directed to issue summons for personal appearance to you (Sharma) in pursuance of powers under the provisions of the DCW Act, 1994,” the DCW notice said.
Sharma has been asked to appear before the commission on August 20. DCW had yesterday issued fresh summons to SHO Kashmere Gate regarding the alleged attack on Lamba during an anti-drug drive last week.
Lamba along with the SHO Vijender Singh and DCP North Madhur Verma were summoned to appear before DCW yesterday. While Verma did not come for the meet the SHO was issued a fresh summon for August 20 and was asked to come along with the CCTV footage and status report on action taken in the case. (PTI)
