JAMMU, Aug 18: Condemning the ceasefire violations on Indo-Pak borders in J&K, Gujjar and Bakkerwal State president, Choudhary Nazakat Khatana said that people of border areas have suffered a lot due to ceasefire violations and they want peaceful and meaningful talks with Pakistan.
In a statement issued here, Khatana said that for past few months cease fire violations across the border have increased leaving many innocent people dead and injured and forcing many to leave their homes in order to protect their lives.
He said that he on behalf of the Gujjar and Bakkerwal Desh Youth Body condemns these ceasefire violations which are inhuman and intolerable, adding people now want clear and peaceful talks with the neighbouring country to ensure their safety and protection.
He said that there should be a clear policy with neighbours keeping in view the life and sentiments of most affected people i.e Gujjar and Bakkerwal in the entire border regions. He also urged the Government to make arrangements of food, shelter and rehabilitation in the form of camps for these affected families.
