ACC decides to suspend chain hunger strike

JAMMU, Aug 18: AIIMS Coordination Committee (ACC) has unanimously decided to lift the chain hunger strike from tomorrow after getting assurance at various levels including Union Health Minister.
A meeting was convened under the leadership of its chairman Abhinav Sharma and was attended by all constituents. It decided to lift the chain hunger strike after getting assurance from Union Heath Minister JP Nadda, who clearly said in press conference that two AIIMS have been sanctioned for J&K State one at Jammu and one at Srinagar.
The meeting said besides, State Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed also publically said during his address on Independence Day at Srinagar. In his Independence Day address Mufti Mohammad clearly said that two AIIMS have been sanctioned by Union Government one for Jammu and other for Srinagar. Avinash Khanna senior BJP leader and incharge J&K State also confirmed about sanction of two AIIMS for J&K State, which are meant for Jammu and Srinagar.
Prominent who attended the meet included Session Judge (retd) Pavitar Singh Bhardwaj (Retired), Inderjeet Khajuria,  Narain Singh, MS Katoch, KB Jandial, Devender Chaudhary, Pawan Singh, Avinash Bhatia, Sunita Sharma, Kamla Sharma, Sudhir Pargal, Udhey Chand, Raj Kumar, Chander Udhey Sharma, Sham Lal Vasan and ML Sharma.
