Jammu, Aug 18 : Dogra Law College organized an Orientation cum Induction programme to welcome the new batch of students of Professional and Integrated Law Courses (Three year and Five years) respectively.
Special invitees were the Chairman of Dogra Education Trust Th. Gulchain Singh Charak; Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Kr Samar Dev Singh Charak; Director Dogra Law College, Prof KL Bhatia; Director, Administrative & Campus Development Council, Mr SC Khajuria.
The function was inaugurated by the auspicious lighting of lamp by all dignitaries. Addressing the fresh batch of students, Prof KL Bhatia, a name to reckon in the field of law, inspired the students with his personal experiences and shared his wisdom. He explained the roadmap of legal education in the present scenario of new economic world order, globalization and privatization where legal profession has made insight through corporate dent, BPO & LPO. He inspired Law Students to take up legal studies conscientiously and sincerely to have access to legal firms, corporate sector and LPOs besides litigation, judiciary and faculty positions. He also impressed upon young students to learn law from experiential perspective through the mechanism of Moot Court and Mock Trial by explaining the significance of regular Moot Court and Mock Trials. He also advised the students to adhere to prescribed dress code since proper dress enhances the personality of would be lawyers.
